REPORTS TO: Shift Supervisor
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operating remote controlled overhead cranes
- Operating powered industrial trucks
- Set-up tube and bar cutting cells
- Create shipping documents
- Locating materials for saws and shipping
- Splitting bundles
- Tagging and banding all material, accordingly
- Pick and stage material shipping, unloading trucks for receiving materials
- Bundle and remove bars from saw table
- Keeps staging area filled
- Follow all written procedures
- Assists furnace operator with process relevant tasks as assigned
- Operate and maintain band saws
- Responsible for tidiness and maintaining a safe work area
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

ENGINEERING:
Quality Engineer has the responsibility to drive improvement initiatives through corrective and preventive actions, continual improvement projects & internal audits throughout the organization. Focus is on resolutions to product and process specific issues. The position will also be responsible for assisting with customer claims and materials engineering activities to create part specifications and routings.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Drive improvement initiatives through corrective/preventive actions and continual improvement projects.
- Participate, train and educate for continual improvement methodologies including but not limited to 6 sigma, 5S, Lean, SPC, OEE and others.
- Participate in internal audits that to review internal processes for effectiveness.
- Coordinate and participate in audits and improvement initiatives throughout the supply base.
- Participate in supplier evaluations and development activities.
- Complete and submit PPAP documentation.
- Assist in claims processing to expedite resolutions for customers as well as claims to vendors.
- Champion the plant efforts and activities to maintain the status and disposition of materials in non-sellable statuses as well as driving systems to improve first time capability performance.
- Champion records management.
- Champion Gage Calibrations and MSA studies at the plant.
- Conduct and organize Process Reviews including the development of Process Flows, Control Plans, Process PFMEA's, Work Instructions and Forms.
- Provide guidance on the applications of statistical techniques.
- Perform and direct others in the completion of capability studies.
- Oversee and manage all documentation maintained in Eaton’s internal documentation dbase including but not limited to ensuring that all controlled documents are managed in this application and not maintained outside our Quality System documentation.
- Create part specifications, bill of materials, customer notes and routing activities (HDS only).
- Participate in Advance Quality Planning trials, discussion and customer visits.
AUTHORITIES:

The Mechanical Engineer has the responsibility for developing new or improved designs related to the manufacturing process. This position will support all of the plant goals for improving safety, quality and cost reduction initiatives by evaluating manufacturing processes, equipment and tooling, collecting data, note observations and make recommendations for improvements.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop new or improved designs in the manufacturing process.
- Participate in design & build of new equipment, prove-out new equipment, bid packages, procurement, and supplier management.
- Utilizing AutoCAD and/or Solidworks for design initiatives.
- Evaluating manufacturing processes and equipment by observing and collecting data, note observations, and make recommendations with the goal of improving efficiencies and costs.
- Monitors project progress and develop strategies to meet design targets.
- Supports plant goals for improving safety, quality, and cost savings initiatives.
- Support engineering builds start-up support and resolving issues.
- Analyze tooling selection and application.
- Provide technical support for installation of new equipment/processes.
- Provide technical support for training of plant personnel.
- Coordinate needed support resources to achieve project objectives.
- Troubleshooting and problem solving of equipment operation, efficiency, and material flow.

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Education – BSME Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Activities for which the Product Engineering Manager will be accountable include:

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY:
The Oracle EBS Technical Architect is responsible for assisting with the design, development, testing, implementation, operational support and maintenance of the Oracle EBS system.
LOCATION:
This position’s primary office is in Oak Park, MI with periodic travel to additional facilities in the immediate area as required.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
EXPERIENCE:
- Understanding of Oracle EBS architecture and table structures, APIs and Oracle coding standards
- Build solutions including but not limited to, Oracle SQL scripts, PL/SQL Packages, Procedures & Functions, Forms, and Reports, ANSI X12 Standards and EDIFACT Standards for EDI, XML Publisher Reports, Business Intelligence Reports, Application Express Reports, OAF extensions, workflows, interfaces to extend Oracle EBS functionality based on user requirements by following Oracle recommended standards and adhering internally established development standards, change management processes.
- Takes directions from and works with senior members of the Oracle EBS & Infrastructure Team.
- Work with the Internal IT Team, FME’s and end users to understand the functional and technical requirements.
- Provide day-to-day Oracle EBS technical support to business customers, troubleshooting and resolving complex problems.

EDUCATION:

TITAN METALLURGY:
The metallurgical lab technician will be responsible for the machining, sample preparation and testing of samples related to common metallurgical testing. Falling under this responsibility will be the use of CNC equipment (Mazak, HAAS), tracking and maintaining tooling and keeping machining equipment in lean, working order. The position will also include performing routine metallurgical testing, as required, to be cross functional with other lab teammates. The day to day will include operating three or more machines and working closely with other teammates to get the correct test specimens prepared and tested.
LOCATION:
This position is NOT a remote worker position. This position’s primary office is in Oak Park, MI with periodic travel to additional facilities in the immediate area as required.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work safely in a large scale, bulk material manufacturing environment
- Contribute to the input of work orders and receive in samples for the lab
- Machine samples using saws, CNC lathes, mills, grinders and any other equipment necessary to achieve finish tolerances and surface finishes needed for lab testing
- Maintaining tooling for multiple lathes and mills
- Keeping equipment maintained and orderly
- Operate cranes and forklift equipment on a regular basis
- Perform mechanical testing as needed, including but not limited to tensile testing, hardness testing, charpy impact testing and bend testing
- Other duties as assigned
- We are a small group, so this position will touch a large portion of the business related to Titan Metallurgy. Good oral communication skills are paramount. Responsibility will also cover any general extensions related to the betterment of the metallurgical lab.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma
- 2 years of experience in a metals related industry
